Why does Macbeth return to the witches for more prophecies after he has already become king? Explain in details.
He becomes so power hungry that he wants to find out exactly what he must worry about in his future. He feels concern that someone like Macduff will dethrone him - the witches, while they "trick" him with words, so give him information that makes him plan for his future. He uses their prophecies to fulfill his dark desires to reinforce his paranoia.
