Here L. Macbeth asks the dark spirits to make her into a man so she can perform all kinds of nasty things. This is our first real look at L. Macbeth. She likes to portray herself as ruthless as, much more ruthless than her husband. She portrays herself as having little conscience and a woman happy to be the power behind the throne. We later see that she isn't as hard as she might have believed.
