The doctor feels badly for L. Macbeth but also feels unsure about dealing with her. L. Macbeth is obviously knowing and saying things that she should not. The doctor does not want to be privy to this information. It could get him in trouble.

All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand. Why does Lady Macbeth say this? What does this tell the doctor about her problem?
