The killing of King Duncan for does not occur onstage. Why do you think Shakespeare chooses not to show his death?

Shakespeare was a dramatist and knew that suspense was all important in his plays. Instead of showing the murder, Shakespeare incorporates ominous noises and chaos with the weather. Shakespeare also knew that the audience could stage a much more brutal murder in their minds than he could ever create on stage.
