Tragic Hero?

I think it is lady macbeth making macbeth do the killing.. and she is the one planninng the murder... and all the things made for that..

She is the one who says.. that after killing the king.. they can blame the drunken bodyguards.

All that macbeth does is to doing the deed

Tragic hero is a noble character who has tragic flaw: hamartia or error of judgment.

accordingly Macbeth who is a noble person, but tragiclly follows his own wife's temtations is the tragic hero.

A Tragic Hero has tragic flaws that bring about the demise of not only themselves but many of the major characters. Shakespeare was pretty titles were pretty self evident as to whom his tragic heroes were (Hamlet, Othello, Romeo and Juliet....) Macbeth is no different. Macbeth's lust for power, low self-esteem, naïveté and general obsessive disposition all contributed to his grand title of tragic hero.

according to Aristotalian definition of tagic hero and being involved with a tragic flaw,so Macbeth is the only tragic hero.And all of his misfortunes are defined in tragic flaw that are inevitable for a tragic her.and here all is caused by lady macbeth

Although at first Macbeth is tempted by his wife, it was his own decision.. Just as he chose to kill his most loyal friend, Banquo. Whatever honour or nobility he had at the beginning of the play was lost when he betrayed the kings trust, especially when he said he doesn't care where the king ends up (heaven or hell).

In my opinion it is Lady Macbeth who should be considered a tragic hero. Because as the play progresses Macbeth begins to exclude his lady in his plans (and if you read the play you might remember her planning to kill the king herself but not being able to. Macbeth came to finish the job). The guilt eats away at Lady Macbeth to the point of suicide.

Her fatal flaw was her wish for her husbands success.

I think Lady Macbeth is the tragic hero. Besides, her fatal flaw was to wish her husband's success.
