what does Lady Macbeth's appearance (i.e. manner of dress) tell us about him/her?

Not much is said about this. We can surmise that she would have had clothes befitting gentry or a Thane's wife. Her dresses and jewelry would have reflected affluence but not royalty. After she becomes queen, she would have had elaborate dresses and jewels reflecting royalty.
