The Man Eater of Malgudi

The Man-Eater of Malgudi's lesson is clear and simple. Since the crux of the novel is about the love and hate relationship between Natraj and Vasu, the central theme here is ego and pride. Vasu is highly arrogant, putting others' needs last and just thinking about the self. He is anti-nature, anti-religion, anti-god and thinks he can accomplish any goal. This chapter tells us that people who are proud will ultimately bring about their own demise.

The struggle between good and evil is highlighted in The Man-Eater of Malgudi.
