Mather accused her of witchcraft. Bishop was accused of bewitching five young women, Abigail Williams, Ann Putnam, Jr., Mercy Lewis, Mary Walcott, and Elizabeth Hubbard. Mather says that Bishop would pinch, choke or bite them.
