Chapter Three Prisoner of War 1. On page 43, Vladek tells Art that he must finish the food on his plate during dinner. Why is Vladek so insistent?

This would have to do with all those years of Vladek having little or no food. Wasting food isn't an option even in times of plenty.

Also Vladek wanted to treat him as if he were still a boy.
