Do you think Mrs. Motonowa deserves to be counted as a "righteous Gentile" or was she just after the Spiegelmans' money? Did she have the right to charge for her protection?

Charging for protection was a common practice, as hiding the Jews during this time was a crime, which was punishable by death. Was she after their money? I'm sure the money helped. None-the-less, Mrs. Motonowa was a good friend to Vladek and Anja, who also extends her protection to Miloch and his family after Vladek and his wife leave for Hungary.
