what dreams was vladek having that made him make those noises while he slept

I'm not sure where you mean but in book two Chapter two, it says that Francoise and Art are sitting on the porch after Vladek has fallen asleep. Art tells his wife that he hopes his father will get back together with Mala, if only because otherwise Vladek is his responsibility. Just then, Vladek begins to moan loudly in his sleep. Vladek might be dreaming of Mala. He also may be dreaming of the horrid story he just told Artie.
