why was vladek still at risk of being murdered after being released as a prisoner of way? how was the false hope similar to when the Nazis released the jews at the end of the war?

Jews were still hated and despised. Vladek could be easily being arrested again. Similarly, anti-Semitism did not die with the end of WW2.
