What is shylock's opinion of Lancelot's departure?
What is shylock's opinion of Lancelot's departure?
He thinks that Lancelot will have to change his ways and be a "different" servant for Bassanio. He now asks his daughter to be more careful about the security of the house, especially during the partying that is going on outside. He does not want Jessica to observe such partying; he also has had a secret conversation with Lancelot which just reinforces that he thinks this servant eats and sleeps too much and cannot, therefore, be efficient.
