Food for thought..... Is revenge ever justified? Shylock has certainly been mistreated in Venice because of his Jewish heritage, but is he right to want revenge against a man who helps people just to help them. Thus, interfering with his occupation as a money lender. Is he truly angry about Antonio's lending money.... or is he hurt and angry by the prejudice he's experienced.
