In which way could you change act 3 scene 3 if you were to re-direct the scene?

Since this scene directly relates to Shylock's interaction and threats against Antonio, the only real change we could make would be to change or soften Shylock's attitude. I don't know if we'd end up with a very interesting or suspenseful conclusion, but Shylock's desire to ruin Antonio is the main idea in this scene.
