Most life like character??

I might go with Shylock the Jew. Shakespeare makes him larger than life. He is a man of stereotype yet relevant to all of us. While he conforms to the stereotype of the time, he also becomes a symbol of all that are discriminated against,

"If you prick us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?"

Shylock the Jew , with all his perceived shortcomings, is like any of us. That was a pretty bold statement by Shakespeare at the time!
