what are your feelings towards bassanio

I thought him to a bit desperate. Asking his friend for a loan even though his friend (Antonio) isn't doing well financially is a bit of a stretch. He seems intelligent enough but a little impulsive. One also has to question his decision to pretend to be something he is not.
