Act3Sc3
Act3Sc3
Shylock asks the jailor not to make him feel guilty for Antonio's fate,
"Jailer, look to him. Tell not me of mercy.
This is the fool that lent out money gratis.
Jailer, look to him."
Shylock hates Christians in general. He feels slighted by them and constantly humiliated. Shylock finds Antonio's bond a slap in the face. After feeling second class and ostracized for lending money with interest, Antonio has the gall to ask for a loan.
