Why does Oberon want to enchant Titania's eyes?

Oberon wants to make Titania fall in love with him because he wants her to give him the indian child. Having taken the child to raise because his mother was her best friend, Titania has of course said no. Oberon sends Puck to find the magical purple "love-in-idleness" flower, and then waits to sprinkle it over her eyes while she's sleeping. In the end, the enchantment works, but Puck causes all kinds of mischief along the way. It's love EVERYWHERE!

Oberon is frustrated by Titania's unwillingness to allow him to keep and raise the baby. Oberon's order of enchantment is fueled by this motive: namely, that he will get the baby and Titania will be preoccupied with her newfound love. Oberon is supposed to be the most powerful fairy in the forest, but as the play proceeds it is clear that he is anything but omnipotent and sovereign.

according to me,Oberon wanted to enchant Titania's eyes with the love potion was to take revenge.Oberon thought that being Titania's husband he was superior to her and she had a right to obey his commands.but titania having her own will power disagreed to give the changeling boy to Oberon being close to ye boys mother. as a result, oberon thought thathe could take revenge by making titania fall in love with something vile!and therefore squeezed the juice of the flower "love in idleness"
