The Jews were led to believe that they would be settles in a better place. For the most part, the Nazis initially treated them with kindness, something that was calculated, as the Jews were easily led into their snare. Most Jews couldn't comprehend the evils they'd heard of..... they simply didn't believe such atrocities possible.
