Mississippi Trial, 1955

Who is Mr. Paul? What purpose does he serve in the novel? How might the story have been different if his character didn’t exist?

Mr. Paul is a minor character. He runs concession stand at courthouse; gives Hiram good advice. Hew is a mentor figure that Hiram would lack without this character.
