Who was the only person Hiram would miss from Greenwood and how has that changed over this summer? chapter 16 - 17

I think Naomi would be the one person that Hiram would miss. The last time that Hiram sees Naomi is shortly before he leaves Greenwood. She looks happier as her burden of taking care of her father has been lifted. He is not dead but seriously injured and Naomi has been taken out of the home and sent to live with a different family. When she sees Hiram to tell him goodbye, she looks much happier and is finally at peace with herself.
