Ollie Young Bear is the most respected and beloved Native American in northeastern Montana. A war hero who graduated from Montana State University and now an active part of the Mercer County community, Ollie is the Native American man that white Montanans point to as a great example of what Native Americans can be. David didn't like the way Ollie seemed to "inspect" him... he felt Ollie looked at him like he was "livestock."
