what kind of neighborhood does david live

The actual town of Bentrock was only two thousand people. Most of the population lived in outlying farms. David lived in a "white two story framed house" across the street from the courthouse. It was an idyllic picture of small town rural America. All the town amenities would have been in or next to David's neighbourhood. The neighbourhood would have been quiet, slow and even tranquil at times.
