Why did Mr. Greenbaum want the penguins to parade around?

Mr. Greenbaum wanted to show off the penguins and prove their talent (worth) to the manager. The penguins' act that day is actually their audition for the show. When "Marvelous Marco" didn't show up for the finale, Mr. Greenbaum knew he had his chance!
