How is the watchman able to discover what Borachio has done in Scene III, Act III?

The watchman Dogberry appointed overheard Borachio and Conrad bragging about their actions. Borachio told Conrad he was paid one thousand ducats to woo Margaret in Hero's private chambers and call her Hero.
