what describes the shimerdas when jim first sees them
When Jim first sees the Shimerdas, he sees a family that does not look as if it's going to fit in. Mr. Shimerda looks nothing like a farmer, he's too well dressed and dignified. Mrs. Shimerda is unhappy with her new home and tells Jim's grandmother it's "no good'. Jim does, however, comment on Mrs. Shimerda's manners. Jim also comments in the Shimerda children. Ambrosch is well built and looks to be strong.... he has shrewd eyes. Yulka is said to be pretty, but Antonia.... she is the prettiest of all.
