How to describe the deeper meaning of Dionysus as "A new life after death?"

Shortly after Dionysus, the wine God, was born, Hera arranged for the Titans to kill him by ripping him into pieces. However, he was brought back to life with the help of his father, Zeus. And by the time he was an adult he rescued his mother from the Underworld. How can episodes/experiences like these be interpreted? In what way the concept of “a new life after death” is revealed?

Dionysus becomes a metaphor for many of the mystery religions thate were practiced in ancient Rome. Death and Rebirth, like in the story of Dionysus, gave people hope for a better life, especially if their life at the moment was not satisfactory.
