Hades and Prometheus
Hades and Prometheus
Hades is the god of the underworld, and the son of Cronus and Rhea.
Prometheus is a Titan, a god of fire. He is described as a trickster.
Hades is equal in power to Zeus and Poseidon because the three drew lots to see what they would rule over. He spent most of his time in the underworld because humans and Gods didn't really like him to be around. He is not a God of death or a judge of the dead, which is a common misconception. He is best known for the kidnapping of his wife, Persephone, which resulted in winter. Hades is also known as the God of wealth because of the precious metals in the earth that he possesses.
Prometheus is known as the creator of mankind and was one of the best benefactors for humans. He's the reason humans have fire because he stole fire from Mount Olympus. He also tricked Zeus into accepting the inedible parts of animal sacrifices so that humans could benefit from the rest. He's also one of the first of the Titans to be eternally punished. He is chained to a rock and an eagle eats his liver every day. Because he's immortal the liver regenerates every day. Heracles ends up slaying the eagle and saving him.
