Why didnt Babamukuru want to go to England to study?

Babamukuru had a variety of reasons for wanting to stay home rather continue his education in England. He wished to stay on at the mission, he'd already spent a long period of time in South Africa, he wanted to help his mother in her old age, and he had a family of his own.
