After Hailsham got abbandoned, what is it used for?

From the text:

"Hailsham was going to close any day and there were plans to sell the house and grounds to a hotel chain." (Page 166)

And finally from the end of the story;

"And the odd rumour will go round sometimes about what Hailsham's become these days–a hotel, a school, a ruin. Myself, for all the driving I do, I've never tried to find it. I'm not really interested in seeing it, whatever way it is now." (Page 221)
