1. The ‘Wind of revolt’ dies down. What is your explanation for why the jews did not rise up against the atrocities commited against them
.
.
Basically there was no hope. They were weak and had no guns. The elderly were not prepared to revolt either.
In order to rise up in resistance the Jews would have needed a number of things, but as Aslan said above, most of these things weren't available to them. Although I don't want you to believe there weren't any revolts at all because there were.
Necessities for revolt:
Food
Weapons
Plan
Plan B
Communication
Money
Training
Medical
Manpower
Organization
Hideout, haven, and headquarters
Goal (and consensus about the goal)
Leadership
Followers (committed, loyal, healthy, trained)
Knowledge (of the enemy’s resources, plans, etc.)
Help (inside and out)
