Eliezer and Liesel are completely different. Like Liesel, Elie loses his home and his family (except for the time before his father dies). Elie is boxed up and tortured, he live amidst the horrors of the camp, and is not only surrounded by death.... he witnesses death everyday. He also waits for death.....
Liesel loses her family and gains another. She isn't forced into hiding, but she experiences Max's fears. Still.... a long way from a concentration camp. Where Elies story revolves around his belief in God and is narrated in the first person.... Liesel's is told by the character of Death. Two very different narrators.... one story real.... the other fiction.
