In the camps, Wiesel muststruggle to stay alive and to remaind humans. In your opinion, how well does he succeed with his struggles?

Elie does what he can do. He, like many prisoners, simply try to stay alive. Staying alive is essentially the struggle. If one looks sick they are of little use and killed. Elie takes care of his father the best he can. Elie also has a crises in faith. This is not such a bad thing. This allows Elie to question God and the nature of humanity. It keeps his mind busy and hence his humanity evolves. Elie's religion never leaves him rather it evolves and Elie has more understanding. Amid the destruction and hellish conditions, there is still much compassion among the prisoners which keeps them human for as long as possible.
