1b. Please explain how the statement, "It isn't how long you've got that matters, it's what you do with the time you have," relates to the novel, Night. How could the prisoners have made best use of this motto?

All these prisoners were living on borrowed time. The Nazis saw them as expendable humanity. If they weren't shot, they died of all kinds of diseases or starvation. Knowing this I suppose the prisoners had to make the best of it. The statement is however rather morbid and unfair. It is near impossible to make the best out of anything when you live in Hell.
