What does Elie say about revenge?
In last charter of the novel
In last charter of the novel
Wiesel says that there were no thoughts of revenge. First, they could only think of bread, as they were hungry. But even after their hunger was assauged, there were still no thoughts of revenge. Then, some of the men thought of clothing, potatoes, and women..... but not of revenge. The prisoners only thought of living, revenge was not a part of liberation.
