Who was Moshe the Beadle, and why didn’t people pay a lot of attention to him? How did Elie feel toward him?

Some called Moshe eccentric and others called him crazy.Moshe was physically awkward, like a clown. He would often chant and sing about devine suffering hence the lable of eccentric or crazy. Moshe had no real home but most people consider him harmless. He manages to escape the camps early in the story. He tries to warn the townspeople of the horrors of the Holocaust. They ignore him and think he's mad. Elie thought Moshe was a wise mystic.
