The repetition keeps reminding us of the ungodly executions of children. The Germans have lost all sense of humanity and the camp has become a chaotic Hell.
Their tongues hung swollen, blue tinged...but the third rope was still moving; being so light, the child was still alive.
There is no redemption for humanity after this.
