There are plenty of ironies, of different kinds. The biggest is the dramatic irony that pervades the play; the audience is expected to know the myth of Oedipus, and so we realized that he is damning himself when he declares punishment on he who caused the plagues at the top of the play. But there is lots of irony with blindness - the blind seer Tiresias "sees" the most, since he knows the truth, and Oedipus blinds himself once he "sees" the truth of his misdeeds. And then there is irony that by exhibiting his heroic commitment to truth, Oedipus is making himself an outcast.
