What is the Audience meant to think about Creon?

Creon is a good leader, as is Oedipus. Creon, however, lacks Oedipus' pride, and thus, is a more compassionate, forgiving, and understanding man. The audience is intended to view Creon as a strong, honest man, who is capable of beinf a great leader.
