George says he knew the dream would never happen from the begginning, but kept repeating the dream for Lennie. Do you believe this is to be the truth?

The story of the dream farm had a sense of calm to it. The dream was a reverie both George and Lennie could escape to in times of stress and sadness. I think George did believe it was possible when Candy offered his money but his enthusiasm was short lived.
