Is it an ending full of hope or is it an ending with out hope. Explain your ideas.

The ending is hopeless in terms of saving Lennie's life. Ultimately, George made the most humane decision possible as to how Lennie's life would end, but it had to have been the most difficult task he'd ever meet. Notably, there is still hope for George to begin a new life. He'll miss Lennie and hold onto the guily forever, but it will be the first time he can truly live for himself.
