George knows Curly is bad news. Curly has a major case of "small guy complex". George knows guys like Curley go after bigger guys they think they are able to intimidate. Lennie is the perfect target for Curley so George warns Lennie to stay clear of him. The men on the ranch fear Curley's wife.
