I really think this one sums it up, especially if you read the subtext of all his anger and self-loathing.
"What the hell you laughin' at?....Come on, ya big ba---. Get up on your feet. No big son---is gonna laugh at me. I'll show ya who's yell"
Just to add, Curley doesn't develop much as a character in the novel. We can easily read between the lines about the nature of this guy. He has no friends because of his own self-esteem issues. Candy sums it up like this, "Curley's like a lot of little guys. He hates big guys. He's alla time picking scraps with big guys. Kind of like he's mad at 'em because he ain't a big guy."
