Without knowing which edition of this book you are using, I am going to give you main points on the page 11 I have. George tells the boss who is doing the hiring that Lennie is not too bright but that he is strong as a bull and can do anything he is told. He says that Lennie got kicked in the head when he was a boy and tells the boss that he is Lennie's caretaker. With Lennie's strength and Georges's guidance, he convinces the boss to hire them; Lennie will be bucking bales and lifting grain bags which will not be a problem for this strong but mentally-limited man.
