What deal does Candy make with George?

Candy offers to use his savings to help pay for the farm, as long as he can join George and Lennie.

Candy offered to contribute $350 to buy the farm with George and Lennie, on the condition that he could live there and do light chores like gardening or cooking. It was this money that made George begin to believe that the dream of owning his own land was no longer a pipe dream. Sadly, the tragedy at the end of the story meant that this agreement could never be fulfilled.
