What is the boss’s tone and attitudes to George and Lennie?

The boss is angry and suspicious of them. The boss is angry that George and Lennie are a day late. He is suspicious that Lennie doesn't speak and that George might be stealing Lennie's pay. He doesn't see two guys travelling together.
