Lennie's values were simple. He was loyal, loving, and honest. He valued his friendship with George and believed in a shared dream.... he even believed in sharing that dream with others. With the loss of his life, the innocence disappears. George will go onto face the harsh reality of his actions, as well as the loss of a dear if needy friend. Crooks and Candy will lose the vision he's afforded them.
