when George and lennie first enter the book , whar can you tell about the kind of lives they lived based on the way they were dressed and what they were carrying ?

They were walking (they were dropped off by the bus too far from their destinations) and they are dressed like farmhands. They have only the minimal amount of food and they do not have a "real" place to sleep. They are transient and have had to move from one town to another.
