Mrs.Mann characteristics.

Mrs.Mann is an elderly woman who runs a foster home for children or, what they called, an "infant farm". She was "A woman of wisdom and experience; she knew what was good for children." Unfortunately she did not think the children needed much for, "she appropriated the greater part . . . to her own use."

Mrs Mann is a woman who do not give the children enough food to eat so this causes most of the children to malnourished without having the proper meal for the day. she sees herself as a woman of high class and treats the children as being nothing.she is just all to herself and she most of the let the children starve so that a few of them are left. they  let the children work at the workhouse without even nothing to eat proper for the day.
